What you receive

Vietnamese degrees and transcripts: what to know

Who asks for them, which documents to send, and how copies are issued in Vietnam.

What skills assessing authorities and Home Affairs ask forEach skills assessing authority asks for the original-language document together with an English translation, and each sets its own rule for the translator. ANMAC asks for a NAATI-certified translator. CA ANZ, IPA and Trades Recognition Australia ask for a NAATI translator when the translation is done in Australia, and ACS lists NAATI translations as acceptable. VETASSESS asks for a registered translation service, Engineers Australia for an authorised translator whose ID, name and contact details appear on each copy, CPA Australia for an official translator, and AITSL for an accredited translator. For skilled visas, Home Affairs asks for every non-English document to be translated, with the translator's NAATI practitioner number when it is translated in Australia.
i
Which documentsThe degree, plus the record of your resultsAssessors such as Engineers Australia and CPA Australia ask for both the degree itself (bằng cử nhân, bằng thạc sĩ, bằng tiến sĩ, or an older bằng tốt nghiệp đại học; for college, bằng tốt nghiệp cao đẳng) and the record of what you studied: the transcript (bảng điểm) or diploma supplement (phụ lục văn bằng). The supplement lists each subject with its credits and marks, your average and your mode of study. For school, it is the bằng tốt nghiệp THPT and the học bạ.
i
From AustraliaCopies from the master registerA degree is recorded in the issuing institution's master register (sổ gốc). If you no longer have it, the body holding that register (your university or college, or the provincial Department of Education and Training) can issue a copy from the master register (bản sao từ sổ gốc), on paper or electronically. You can apply online, in person or by post. Since 15 April 2026, data from the Ministry of Education and Training's diploma database, or shown in the VNeID app, can be used in Vietnam instead of that copy.
i
Pages and priceTranscripts are priced per pageA degree certificate is a single sheet, but a transcript or diploma supplement can run to several pages. Every page is translated in full and priced at $80 per page, and you see the total before you pay.

What to send us

Frequently asked questions

My transcript is several pages long. How is it priced?

Each page is translated in full and priced at $80, so a four-page transcript is four pages. Upload every page and you will see the total before you pay.

Do I need certified copies of my documents?

Not for the authorities we checked. CPA Australia and ANMAC ask for clear colour scans of the original documents rather than certified copies, and AITSL and VETASSESS (for trade occupations) say documents do not need to be certified. Send us a clear colour scan of each original.

My degree already has English printed on it. Do I still need a translation?

Vietnamese rules make Vietnamese the language of the diploma and allow a foreign language alongside it, provided it matches the Vietnamese. The authorities above ask for a translation of any document that is not in English. If you are unsure whether a bilingual degree is enough, ask the authority, or have the Vietnamese text translated in full.

How long does the translation take?

Standard delivery for a degree or transcript is 2 to 4 business days. You can choose 1–2 business days, or urgent within 24 hours, at checkout.

Do I need an apostille on my Vietnamese degree?

The skills assessment and Home Affairs document pages we checked ask for colour scans of the original documents and English translations, and do not mention legalisation or an apostille. Vietnam joined the Apostille Convention with effect from 11 September 2026, so if another authority asks for one, it is issued by Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An apostille is translated as an extra page.

Can I get a printed copy?

Yes. The certified translation is always delivered as a PDF by email, and you can add a printed copy sent by post when you order.
